Safety glasses , hearing <br /> protection , Nitrile gloves , and coveralls are optional <br /> but recommended <br /> * Contamination reduction zone : Same as exclusion zone <br /> * Support zone: No specific requirements <br /> 6 . 2 RESPIRATORY PROTECTION <br /> If and when conditions requiring respiratory protection <br /> arise, the site safety officer will make a determination on <br /> necessary levels of protection . <br /> 7 . 0 WORK ZONES AND SECURITY <br /> 7 . 1 ZONE SPECIFICATIONS <br /> Exclusion Zone: A twenty-foot circle around any given area <br /> will be defined before excavation begins . The location of <br /> this exclusion zone may change as site conditions dictate . <br /> No personnel will be admitted into the Contamination <br /> Reduction Zone or the Exclusion Zone unless they are in full <br /> compliance with the existing Safety Plan . <br /> Contamination Reduction Zone : An area surrounding the <br /> exclusion zone will be designated as the contamination <br /> reduction zone . Waste containers will be provided for <br /> contaminated disposal equipment . <br /> Support Zone: A support zone will be defined to enclose the <br /> contamination reduction zone . <br /> 7 . 2 DECON CENTER <br /> A decontamination center will be set up at the outer <br /> perimeter of the contamination reduction zone .
