MONITORING,WELL• PURGE PROCEDURES
_On 02 May 2001, a Solinst water level meter was used oto measure the depth to ground water in well
. MW-l0'.relative to the top of the well casing.-After, ground water depth was measured, a pre-
cleaned,two-stage submersible pump was used'to evacuatewater from well MW=10.-'10.
1.2 gallons 'of water (a minimum.of three casing=water volumes) were removed from the well..
' Temperature, ;pH and conductivity.we're measured at 3-gallon intervals using a Oakton water
analyzer: Purged water was stored in 55-gallon DOT=approv:.d druriis:ci-situ.-Monitoiing well
stabilization data and field data'sheets are included in Appendix C.
COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES ;
Aground water sample.was collected'from well MW-10 using.a new disposable bailer following
purging of the well"'and recovery.of at•lcast 80%,of the pre-purge casing water volume: Irnmediately
UP on retrieval, the sample was transferred into 40-ml-EPA-approved VOA via15?containing 0.5 ml ',-
} of hydrochloric-acid(18%);as a sample`preservative; and was.labeled.
