"INTRODUCTION',
t
Nt the request:of Mr.Mike Ali,Advanced GeoEnvironmental;Inc: (AGE)has preparedlthe enclosed
quarterly report for'the property located at 244 West Harding Way;,Stockton, California:The 'scope
of work included gground-water'monitoiin and sam ling, laboratory sample analysis, and. preparation.
of"this report.Site background information is included in AppendixA.-The site and surrounding area., =
are illustrated .on Figure 1. On-site structures,, soil borings, and monitoring well bcations are,, ;
illustrated_on-Figure.2. w. ,
Z-& PROCEDURES
Field procedures were performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST)sites and
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EJ-1p)guidelines for the sampling of ground
'.` water monitoring wells.
2,1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 03 February 2005, the, depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 was
-foot utilizin
measured from the top of each Well casing to•the nearest 0.01g a Solinst water level
meter: Ground water elevation in each well was calculated.by subtracting the measured depth to
ground water from the'surveyed casing elevation (Table 1):
y,I After water levels were measured, eight gallons of water(a minimum of three casing water volumes
'per well) were purged'frorri the wells using dedicated, disposable plastidbailers. Ground water ,,
a
:tem erture H and conductivit were measured at regular intervals during purging using P .. p Y , g gP g .gun„ . g an•
., Oakton water analyzer. Field sheets and.data are included in Appendix'B, Purged water was`gtored
'on-site in properly labeled,Department of Transportation(DOT)-approV,ed 55-gallon drums,pending
,proper disposal.
2.2. COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES.
Groundwater samples were collected from the monitoring wells using disposable plastic, bailers; -
these bailers:were disposed of after one use, thereby minimizing cross-contamination_ due to
sarnpling devices. Each-ground water sample was collected into three 40-milliliter•(ml) volatile • .
III organic analysis (VOA) vials containing 0.5. ml 18% hydrochloric acid solution as a'sample
preservative. After'collection, the. samples were labeled ,and placed in a chilled container for
`'' Advairced GeoEnvironmental,In_c. .:
