Ground water elevation in each well.was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to
r' groundwater from the surveyed casing elevation (Table ]).
=After water levels were measured,between 7.0 and 7.25 gallons of water(a minimum of three easing
water volumes per well):were purged from the wells using dedicated; disposable;plastic;bailers:
'vi 'were measured at regular intervals during purging-
Gro
und water temperature,pH,and conducts ty g g
' 4 using an Oaktonwater.analyzer.Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B.Purged,water was ,
stored on-site in properly labeled,Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved 55-gallon-drurns
pend,ng,properdisposal.
2.2. `COLLECTION OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES. ;
_
Ground water samples were collected from the,monitoring wells using disposable.plastic bailers;
'. ,. these bailers were disposed' of-after one-use, thereby minimizing cross-contamination due' to
sampling devices.
