5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The soil and groundwater remediation tasks proposed in the 14 February 2005 workplan for the
i
Site have been completed. All soil proposed for excavation around former sample CPT-EXC-
BT19 has been excavated and sent off-site for disposal or reuse. Soil sample CPT-EXC-BT19
contained TPHg concentrations of 2,300 mg/kg, and sample CPT-EXC-25, collected at the
bottom of the excavation approximately 6-feet below CPT-EXC-BT19, did not contain any
detectable TPHg concentrations.
Approximately 7,500 gallons of hydrocarbon impacted groundwater was pumped`out of the
excavation.and..di sposed of in the sanitary--sewer.-The former excavation area was backfilled as
described in Section 4.6. Prior to backfilling, 800 pounds of ORC®was added to the excavation
to accelerate the bioremediation of impacted groundwater.
The 14 February 2005 workplan for the Site included a proposed groundwater monitoring
program. As discussed in the workplan, the planned site development includes installing new
utility lines and replacing sidewalks where monitoring well locations are planned. The
development is scheduled to be completed in early to mid-2006 and monitoring work can begin
at that time.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
Activities undertaken as part of this remediation work was conducted on behalf of the City of
Stockton to assess the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater in the
No other a should rel on the information resented in
vicinity of the former UST locations. p party y p
this document without the express written permission of Treadwell&Rollo.
The conclusions presented in this report are professional opinions based on the specific activities
conducted.
