INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Jeffery Setness of Jeff B Setness Professional Law Corp , Advanced <br /> ' Geo Environmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report surnmanzing field activities <br /> performed during the fourth quarter of 1999 at 423 North Madison Street, Stockton, California The <br /> ' scope of work included monitoring concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in ground <br /> water on the site and preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 -Location <br /> r <br /> Map Structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> ' Site background information was summarized in Revised Corrective Action Plan -February 1997, <br /> Site Investigation Report- UST No 8,dated 10 February 1998 and Quarterly Report-August 1998, <br /> ' prepared by AGE <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of underground <br /> '•1 storage tank(UST) sites established by the Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley <br /> Region (RWQCB-CVR) and by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental <br /> Health Division(PHS-EHD) <br /> 1 <br /> 21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> ' November 1 a olinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water <br /> On 08 Nove be 999, S p <br /> in 14 monitoring wells at the subject site and in 13 wells at 424 N Van Buren Street (Van Buren <br /> Site)relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and hydraulic gradient were <br /> determined from these data(Table 1) <br /> ' On 09 November 1999, monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, MW-13, MW-19A MW-19B, <br /> MW-20A, MW-20B, MW-21A and MW-21B were purged using a two-stage purge pump <br /> ' Monitoring was performed in accordance with the revised monitoring schedule established at a 03 <br /> April 1998 meeting with the PHS-EHD The purge pump was decontaminated prior to purging each <br /> well by pumping an Alconox solution followed by pumping tap water Monitoring wells MW-19A, <br /> ' MW-20B and MW-21B were purged dry after approximately 8, 8 and 6 gallons of water, <br /> respectively, were removed Approximately three well-volumes of water (approximately nine to <br /> eighteen gallons) were removed from each of the remaining purged wells Temperature, pH and <br /> conductivity of purged water were measured at regular purge-volume intervals using Hydac water <br /> analyzer The recorded field data and logs are included in Appendix A All purged water was stored <br /> in 55-gallon DOT-approved drums on-site <br /> 1 Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc <br /> 1 , <br />
