t
Subsurface Environmental Investigation September 21, 2988
Abandoned Lerner Service Station, Lodi, California AGS 38055-1
RECOMMENDATIONS
Applied GeoSystems recommends that additional subsurface work be
conducted at the site. This work should include delineation of
the horizontal extent of soil and ground-water contamination.
Additional monitoring wells should be installed in the inferred
downgradient and lateral directions of ground-water flow. This
additional work would allow the gradient to be calculated to
46 evaluate the present ground-water flow direction and allow, an
indication of the extent of soil and ground-water contamination.
Sampling methodology .and monitoring well construction should
fallow protocols outlined in this report and presented in our
Work Plan {Report `.do. 38055-1, dated August 3, 1988) for the
site. Monitoring wells located south of the tank cavity will be
y within 50 feet of a sanitary sewer main. Monitoring wells in
F
that area, inferred to be downgradient from the tank cavity, will
require a varianc-. from. the San Joaquin Local Health district.
A
ter
LIMITATIONS
1 This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted
standards; of environmental geological, practice in California at
the time this -Investigation was performed.
