Subsurface Environmental Investigation September 21, 1988
r Abandoned Lerner Service Station, Lodi, California
® AGS 38055-1
The highest reading produced was from a soil sample collected at
approximately the ground-water surface in boring B-4.
Soil W lin
Samp2,es selected for chemical analysis were removed from the
sampler and sealed with aluminum foil, plastic caps, and airtight
tape. The samples were then labeled and placed in iced storage
fh1
for transport to the analytical laboratory. At the request
the client, the sanples.were not analyzed. in a laboratory becaus=e
subjective evidence of soil and ground-water contamination served
the client's interests in purchasing the property.
monitoring Well construction
Monitoring well MW-1 was constructed in boring -4 with 2-inch-
inner-diameter, Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) casing after
+ the 8-inch-diameter boring was drilled. No chemical cements, or
solvents were used in well construction. The screened portion of
each well consists 'ot factory-perforated casing with 0.020-inch-
} ' wide slots and extends- from the total depth of the borehole (60
feet) to approximately 30 feet below grade.
8 is
too
1pv/led Geoysterrp
