L
GROUP INC.
Manufactures catalog cut sheet for the Universal overfill prevention valve is
attached. Manufactures catalog cut sheets for the external audible/visual alarm
is attached. Also, three(3) copies of drawing ESI (Electrical Site Plan) is
attached showing the location of the external audible/visual alarm.
5. Manufacturer specification sheets were not submitted for the brine sensor equipment to
be used for the vent underground/aboveground transition sump. Also, specify
manufacturer and material of this sump.
As the SWRCB has not yet approved any system for the continuous monitoring of
the secondary containment using vacuum, pressure or interstitial liquid level
measurement methods and we anticipate completing the installation of this UST
system before the July 1, 2004 deadline (LG 162-1), the vent'vapor piping
secondary containment shall be continuously monitored to detect the entry of
product into the secondary containment via the liquid sensors in the piping sumps
at the tanks(per H&S Code, sec. 25290.2(d). No brine or liquid sensor will be
introduced into this UST systems vent/vapor piping at this time.
Note however in the future, when the SWRCB approves the interstitial liquid level
measurement method for double-walled vapor and vent piping the liquid level
sensor would be an integral component/sensor of the TLS-250 monitoring system
installed at this site.
The containment sump to be used for the vent underground/aboveground
transition sump will be "Bravo': The unit is fiberglass. A manufacturer catalog
cut sheet is attached.
This completes our response to your review comments.
Respectfully,
REL DESIGN GROUP,INC.
O"LL Q,
Brian Merfeld
Job Captain
cc: File
attachments
F:\PROJECT\Ik\1038.40\Docs\10384_EHD TANKS Plan Check#1 Response-Ltr.doc
