Western Fiberglass Inc.
tern 1555 Copperhill Parkway
rglass Santa Rosa, Calif. 95403
707/523-2050
707/523-2046 fx
RECEIVEL
MAR 0 2 2015
ENVIRONMENTAL.
Safeway Stockton — Site 2707
On 2/27/15, technicians from Western Fiberglass were dispatched to repair
entry fittings in the vapor vent box for site 2707.
Upon arrival, technicians removed the lid to investigate the sump. The lid
had 4 bolts missing from the lid. One of the nuts for bolting down this lid
had been cut out and was missing. The other 3 missing bolts had nuts with
stripped threads,
The 4 entry fittings in the sump were in decay. The nuts holding on the
fittings, were removed and the studded fittings removed from the studsand
sump wall. The area behind the studded fittings was abraded and cleaned
with acetone. The threads on the bolts were cleaned and chased with a die to
insure the bolts were in good condition.
The splits on the studded split boots were bonded and left to cure. Upon
curing, the boots were bonded onto the sump wall around the studs. The nuts
were tightened and the bonder was. left to begin curing.
After the boot bonder had hardened, the 3 inch boots were filled with boot
filler.
All 3 of the test boots in this sump were replaced as an added measure.
As the bonders were curing, a retro fit kit for the lid was installed on the
sump.
Rick Misquez
Technician
