2015-02-18 14:49 Safeway 2707 2094728604 >> 2094AR3433 P 2/6 <br />r This letter is in response to the Underground Storage tank Inspection Report performed by the <br />Environmental Health Department on January 22 2015. Corrective actions have been taken pertaining to <br />the violations we received during said inspection. <br />• CCR 2712(f) Failed to submit a written response within 30 days of receiving an inspection report. <br />Corrective action: This report is my written response for county inspection done on 1/22/15 <br />• 307. HSC 25291(a)(2). Secondary containment for UST system is not tight. The January 8, 2013 <br />secondary containment test results indicated a failure at the vent sump. This issue has not been <br />resolved. <br />Corrective action: On 2/17/15 I, Richard Grasty, spoke with Tim from RFSC to place a work order <br />#27074062 for violation listed above. Order was then sent to Service Station Systems. The work <br />order is currently open. <br />• 402. HSC 25290. 1(c)(1) and HSC 25290.2(c)(1). Primary containment not liquid or vapor tight. A <br />fuel Leak was found in dispensers 1/2, 3/4, 7/8; dripping was observed under these dispensers. <br />This issue has not been addressed. <br />r Corrective action: On 2/17/15 I, Richard Grasty, spoke with Tim from RFSC to place a work order <br />#27074062 for violation listed above. Order was then sent to Service Station Systems. The work <br />order is currently open. <br />• A fuel spill on January 18, 2014 was reported to the EHD via CALEMA, but was not recorded in <br />the on site records. This issue has not been addressed, Provided information as to what needs to <br />be on the report. This is a class II violation. <br />Corrective action: All available information about the spill was collected and a proper report was <br />filled out to keep for the on site records, <br />1. Owner's or Operators name and telephone number: Safeway Inc. "Fuel" 209-472-8600 <br />2. List types, quantities, and concentration of hazardous substances released: Over %z <br />gallon of fuel (grade 87 unleaded gasoline) <br />3. Approximate date of release: 1/18/14 <br />4. Date release was discovered: 1/18/14 <br />5. Date release was stopped: 1/18/14 <br />6. Description of actions taken: "Unknown" contained the spill using hazard cones, PPI, <br />5m-186, absorbent pads, and hazardous waste disposal bags. All waste was disposed of <br />FEB 18 2015 <br />NVIRONMENTAi <br />
