r Ground water samples will be collected from monitoring wells MW-1 <br />' through MW-6 The results of ground water samples collected from <br /> monitoring wells MW-5 and MW-6 will be used to evaluate the <br /> background concentrations of indicator compounds at each former UST <br /> site Ground water samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-4 will be used to evaluate the presence of indicator <br /> compounds within the hydrocarbon ground water plumes <br />' Ground water sampling will also be performed in monitoring wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-6 to obtain baseline data on ground water quality at the site <br /> Consistent with the results of previous samples collected at the site, ERM <br /> will analyze the ground water samples for TPH-g and BTEX compounds <br />' ERM anticipates that ground water sampling can be performed at the site <br /> during the week of 19 April 1999 and anticipate receipt of the analytical <br />' results the following week <br />' 52 ORC INJECTION <br /> If the results of the baseline ground water sampling confirm that <br /> biodegradation is continuing to occur, ORC injection will be performed at <br /> each former UST site ERM has contacted Regenesis, Inc , of Pleasant Hall, <br />' California to discuss the injection of ORC at the site Based on the <br /> concentrations and distribution of TPH-g and BTEX in ground water at <br /> the site, and the hydrogeology of the site, a strategy for injection of ORC at <br />' the site was developed <br /> Using Regenesis' software, the spacing of ORC injection points and mass <br />' of ORC to be injected at each point was determined Based on the results <br /> of this evaluation, ERM plans to perform ORC injection at approximately <br />' 50 locations at 10 foot spacing at each former UST site Approximately 25 <br /> to 50 pounds of ORC will be injected at each location <br />' ORC injection will be performed using a standard Geoprobe (direct push) <br /> drilling rig A State of California certified well driller will be contracted to <br /> perform the ORC injection The procedures for performing ORC injection <br />' are summarized below <br />' Prior to performing drilling at the site, all underground utilities and <br /> proposed ORC injection points will be located and marked <br /> 1 <br />' 15 <br />
