Once the system is in operation the following constituents should be monitored on a
bimonthly basis: Injected ozone/air flow-rates; injection well pressure, monitoring well
pressure;ground water measurements - pH; conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and ozone.
Ferrous iron if present in concentrations over 25 milligrams per liter can precipitate and
cause plugging of the sparge point and aquifer materials. Therefore we recommend
Analyzing ground water samples for iron at the next quartedy monitoring event.
We will analyze operating data and estimate the ozone zone of influence and
effectiveness of ozone in reducing dissolved ground water concentrations. if the first two
quarters of operation indicate that ozone injection is feasible, we will develop additional
recommendations for larger-scale implementation if appropriate. A report of the findings
of the pilot operation will be prepared for submittal to PHS EHD. The report will
describe and interpret system operating results and ground water analytical data,
If you have any questions, please call the undersigned.
Sincerely,
Wright Environmental Services, Inc.
i
John Lynch R.
