1 <br /> 3 0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />' The results of the groundwater sample analyses indicate that the lateral extent of <br />' impacted groundwater is undefined to the north (upgradient), west and south <br /> (downgradient) of the former UST excavation However, the lateral extent is defined to <br /> the northeast of the former USTs by MW-1 Vertically, the possible impact to deeper <br />' groundwater-bearing zones has not been investigated <br />' On December 13, 1999, Ramage Environmental submitted Work Plan, Environmental <br /> Site Investigation to PHSIEHD and RWQCB Tasks outlined in the work plan included a <br /> geophysical survey to further delineate metal debris in the former UST excavation, <br /> sensitive receptor survey, installation of three additional groundwater monitoring wells to <br /> further define the lateral extent of impacted groundwater, continued quarterly monitoring <br />' and sampling of the monitoring well network, and cone penetrometer testing to delineate <br /> the vertical extent of impacted groundwater <br />' On December 27, 1999, PHSIEHD approved the work plan with comments Currently, <br /> cost pre-approval from the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund is pending <br /> Ramage Environmental recommends that once cost pre-approval has been secured that <br /> the approved work plan be implemented <br /> 1 <br /> y <br /> 7 <br />
