i
4i —.
^' April 25, 1990
Page 2
µ'
an
present. a groundwater contamination a4 MW-2 appears to also be limited to
immediately beneath the location of the former waste oil tank.
T We understand thst Bio National Corporation has been extracrin water from
MW-1 and treating the -water at the surface using ultraviolet, ozone and carbon
filter methodologies. As the levels of contaminants appear to be declining in
MW-1, continued extraction and treatment m:y bring these levels down to values
acceptable to the Rigional Water Quality Control Board and San Joaquin County
Public Health Services. Similar extraction and treatment at MW-2 may be
- warranted.
After submission of this report, further discussions should be held with
both of the above agencies to determine clean-up levels for groundwater
acceptable to them for the Holt Brothers facility. Please feel free to contact
us if you have any questions concerning this report.
Sincerely,
DAMES & MCQRE
Graeme W.
