�� h-5-.. �LL OM1' •++. m Ni' ,� � �r �e.4E', � f. .Y <br /> during field activities as described in Quality Assurance/Quality <br /> Control section of this work plan to maintain accuracy. <br /> Water quality measurements will be made as follows: <br /> o The beaker used to collect the purge water obtained <br /> during well sampling will be rinsed with sample water <br /> prior to filling. <br /> O Probes will be thoroughly rinsed with distilled water <br /> prior to measurement, immediately submerged in the <br /> beaker, and then measurements taken. <br /> o All field measurements will be recorded on the field data <br /> sheet and field memos along with the sample location, <br /> time, date and initial water elevation. <br /> o After measurements are made, the beaker and probes will <br /> be decontaminated by rinsing with distilled water. <br /> o Water obtained during well development will be placed in <br /> -- a baker tank or other appropriate container for onsite <br /> treatment through biodegradation or other recognized <br /> treatment process. <br /> The general monitoring well sampling procedures are as <br /> - follows: <br /> o Check all equipment to ensure that it is properly <br /> decontaminated. <br /> o Determine the static nater level as described above. <br /> o Calculate the volume of water in the casing based on the <br /> static water level, well depth, ;-rd well diameter. <br /> o Prior to sampling, excavate each well by pumping with a <br /> centrifugal or submersible pump, or bailer. Measure <br /> - temperature, pH, and electrical conductivity during the <br /> excavation period using portable field meters calibrated <br /> with bottled standards. After the first well volume is <br /> removed, measure these parameters once per minute until <br /> the measurements stabilize. A minimum of three casing <br /> volumes will be excavated prior to sampling. if <br /> conductivity, temperature znd pH have not stabilized <br /> - after five well volumes, a sample will be taken. <br /> o store and treat purged water onsite in a baker tank using <br /> biodegradation or other recognized treatment process. <br /> hD01.064 <br /> 7 <br />
