Scope:
The vast majority of the bores will be north of Building 11 [Fig. 2, attached]. We expect to use
the Geoprobe 66 and 77 series track rig for drilling. Precision Sampling of Oakland will be the
driller.
After sample cores are obtained, they will be chilled on ice and shipped to a state certified lab
for analyses. The bore will be backfilled with hydrated bentonite and resurfaced. The bores are
not expected to reach local ground waters. But, if any perched water or ground water is
reached, we may sample some of the waters.
Additional Assumptions:
1. Fieldwork will take around 3 to 5 working days.
2. Drums for waste storage are provided at and will be store temporarily on SITE until
disposal.
3. Tenants shall be kept at safe distance at the time of fieldwork.
4. Drilling contractor shall be a full-service major drilling contractor, with on-staff health and
safety officer.
Work schedule:
1. Starting date: to be scheduled as soon as possible after signing the contract (tentatively
6/236/27/2008).
2. Lab results and report: about 2 calendar weeks after last day of the fieldwork.
We appreciate very much this opportunity to be of help on this project, and please feel free to
call if you have any questions.
