Drilling will consist of continuous coring with <br /> continuous detailed logs of the geological strata. Coring will extend to the surface of the water table. <br /> Soil samples will be collected for analysis beginning at the upper edge of the contaminated zone, at all <br /> changes in lithology, at the top of the capillary fringe, and just above the surface of the water table. Cone <br /> penetrometer technology may be used to replace soil borings where applicable. The Board shall be <br /> notified five days in advance of any drilling. <br /> With prior notification of the Board and adequate justification, selected samples, rather than all, may be <br /> approved for submittal to the laboratory for analyses. After several rounds of monitoring have been <br /> reviewed, the sampling schedule may be modified, at the discretion of the Board. <br /> The soil sampling program shall consist of the following Table 3: <br />
