The Q3-2002 Report presents
monitoring and sampling results for monitoring wells as directed by the Revised Monitoring and Reporting
Program(MRP)No. 93-701. The groundwater flow direction remains to the south/southwest, and concentrations
of site constituents are consistent with previous sampling events. The status of future groundwater investigation
work was not provided.
We received the Q3-2002 Report on 8 November 2002,which is 19 days past the due date of 20 October 2002.
There was no correspondence from you notifying us that the quarterly report would be late. As required by C&A
No. 93-701 and the Revised Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 93-701, quarterly monitoring reports are due
by the 20th day of the month following the end of each calendar quarter(i.e.,by 20 April,20 July,20 October,
and 20 January). If quarterly monitoring reports are to be submitted after the due date, you or your consultant
must request an extension from Board staff prior to the late submittal.
Electronic analytical data for the Q3-2002 sampling event was not submitted into GeoTracker as required by the
Underground Storage Tank(UST)Regulations. We notified you of the requirement to submit electronic data in
our 6 August 2002 letter; however,we have not received electronic data for your site to date. Reports submitted
without accompanying electronic data are incomplete and you are now out of compliance with our directives for
this site. Enclosed is our letter(Required Electronic Deliverable Format for Laboratory and Site Data
Submittals to Regulating Agencies), explaining how to obtain information to implement the electronic data
requirements. By 20 January 2003,please provide electronic data submittals to GeoTracker for the third and
fourth quarter 2002 sampling events.
We approved your 18 July 2002 Additional Monitoring Well Installation Workplan (Workplan) to install two
well clusters (four monitoring wells) downgradient of the site in August 2002. The monitoring wells are
necessary to verify groundwater contamination identified during a cone penetrometer testing investigation
completed in December 2001. Please implement the approved Workplan, and provide a status report of
investigation activities in the next quarterly progress report due on or before 20 January 2003.
California Environmental Protection Agency
Co Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real. Every Californian needs to take immediate action to reduce energy consumption.
For a list of simple ways you can reduce demand and cut your energy costs, see our Web-site at http://www.swrcb.ca.gov/rwgcb5
