i 19 July 1995 AGE-NC-95-0109 Page 6 of 8 data is summarized in Table 2 4 4 PETROLEUM HYDROCARBON-HAPACTED SOIL TPH-g was detected in 13 of the 16 soil samples submitted for analysis TPH-g ranged from 3 ppm in P11-29 to 1,822 ppm in P10-38' Benzene was detected in eight of the sort samples analyzed Toluene, ethyl benzene and xylenes were detected in twelve samples Analytical results of soil samples are summarized in Table 3 Also included in Table 3 are the analytical results of soil samples from the remediation wells, which were installed in 1993, and P-1 through P--9 The laboratory report and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix C 4 5 GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND DIRECTION The depth to ground water ranges from 56 feet at the north end of the site to 58 feet southwest of the site The data indicates an increase in elevation of approximately 1 foot since March 1995, continuing the trend observed between December 1994 and March 1995 The increase in elevation is uniform throughout the site and is consistent with seasonal fluctuations in ground water elevations Ground water elevations are summarized on Table 4 The ground water contour, based upon data collected on 12 Tune 1995, is depicted in Figure 3 The flow direction is to the south-southwest, and as in previous monitoring events, the gradient steepens towards the south end of the site 4 6 PETROLEUM HYDROCARBON-ROPACTED GROUND WATER Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in ground water samples from six of the ten wells sampled TPH-g ranged from below detectable Iimits to 6,200 ppb (MW-1416-12-95) Detectable BTE&X concentrations ranged up to 750 ppb (toluene, MW-14) No TPH-g or BTE&X were detected in samples from MW-7, MW-11, MW-12 and MW-13 The analytical results are summarized in Table 5 The laboratory reports and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix D Between March and June 1995, TPH-g and BTE&X concentrations decreased in three of the ten wells sampled, during the same period, TPH-g and BTE&X concentrations increased in three of the ten wells sampled EDB was reported at a concentration of 0 86 ppb in MW-14, a decrease from the March 1995 . sampling 1,2-Dichloroethane was detected in samples from MW-7, MW-8,MW-9, MW-13, MW-14
