STATE OF CALIFORNIA-Environmental Protection Agency PETE WILSON, Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION 1P 41"c t
3443 Routier Road, Suite A ENI 4•4;_`,E,NTAL HEALTH
3ctamento, CA 95827-3098 Ei-M,I i SF,R V1CE
IW. hR w.en rY
=ZONE: (916) 255-3000
FAX: (916) 255-3015 931 1U.N 15 P1 1` 19
10 June 1993
Mr. Mark Geweke
Geweke Land Development and Marketing
1045 S. Cherokee Lane
Lodi , CA 95240
LABORATORY RESULTS FROM SPLIT SAMPLES, 16 SOUTH CHEROKEE LANE, LODI, SAN
JOAQUIN COUNTY
On 1 and 9 April 1993, I met with Alan Bodiford of Sun Tech, to collect ground
water samples to be analyzed by both Suntech's laboratory and ours. The
analytical results of the samples collected by Mr. Bodiford were compiled in
your most recent quarterly report dated 19 April 1993. The analytical results
of the samples I collected are enclosed and summarized in the attached table.
Copies of the analytical results were already given to both Mr. Bodiford and
Robert Marty of Geological Audit Services.
The Cleanup and Abatement Order requires that the first quarter monitoring
report be submitted by 20 April every year. This year the monitoring event
was delayed due to our meeting on 31 March 1993. In addition, the sampling
crew experienced difficulties in the field and it was not possible for Sun
Tech, your consultant, to submit a complete quarterly report by 20 April 1993.
However, they did telecopy an incomplete report on 20 April and then submitted
the complete report on 23 April 1993.
A comparison of the attached table with Table 12 and the laboratory sheets of
the recent quarterly report reveals that no constituents other than TPHg and
BTEX were reported by the laboratory used by Sun Tech. The laboratories used
by the Regional Board did detect constituents other than TPHg and BTEX, as
shown in the attached table. These are solvents and/or constituents of
gasoline and their presence is consistent with previous results.
If you have any questions, call me at (916) 255-3125.
VIZ .
