All organic compund analytical results were reported telow laboratory detection limits. All
CAM 17 metal analyses were reported to be either non detect or below California state action
levels. All analyses for lead and Chrome VI were reported below analytical laboratory detection
limits. Analytical laboratory reports are attached to this report.
The analytical results of the sample HH-SB2-20.5 was reviewed by this office on March 29, 2001
and a telephonic request was:made o KiffIAnWiical Mbor"ato es, LLC.to analyz'oil saamples-V
HH-&B2115:5 andiHHSB2=25:5 using Tesi-Methods 260B$0-f5(m)'sb,ihs.#This request-was
logged into the laboratory but they failed to perform th tests_ .onto hold.time expinng.on the
samples.
Conclusions
The information obtained from the cuttings and soil samples collected from the soil boring is
summarized as follows: (1) lithologies present below the former tank site is comprised primarily j
of fine to coarse-grained sand and silt; (2) lithology confirms with previous described geologic
units for the Lodi area for the upper 40 feet of the subsurface; and (3) no evidence of vertical
migration of petroleum hydrocarbons were found to be present below 7.5 feet below ground
surface. No MTBE was found to be present at the site.
San Joaquin County Public Works Department prepared a groundwater surface elevation map in j
1998 that depicted the depth to top of groundwater surf ce at approximately -10 feet mean sea
level. The ground surface elevation at the site is approx'mately 50 feet above mean sea level. At
least 45 feet of uncontaminated soil remains below the former UST site and the top of the
groundwater table.
We recommend this site for closure based on the fact that no petroleum hydrocarbons were found
in the subsurface below the former UST location.
Please contact me if you have any questions at (209) 369-9421. Thank you for your assistance on
this project.
Sincerely,
Stephen G.
