The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for TRACY TOYOTA as of October26, 2018. <br /> Open violations from August 28, 2018 inspection <br /> Violation#114- Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> Manifest numbers: <br /> -014054411JJK (4/28/16) <br /> -014054412JJK (4/28/16) <br /> -017791774JJK (8/24/17) <br /> -017791835JJK (8/30/17) <br /> were found without a signed off copy from the destination facility. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of <br /> all manifests signed off by the destination facility on site for three years and have them readily available for review. <br /> If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the <br /> facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 35 days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial <br /> transporter, the generator shall contact the transporter and/or the owner or operator of the designated facility to <br /> determine the status of the waste. If the generator did not receive a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest <br /> within 45 days of the date that the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit an <br /> Exception Report that includes a legible copy of the missing manifest, and a cover letter signed by the generator <br /> explaining the efforts to locate the hazardous waste and the results of those efforts. Exception reports shall be <br /> submitted to: <br /> DTSC Report Repository <br /> Generator Information Services Section <br /> P.O. Box 806 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 <br /> Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit an exception report to DTSC. Submit to <br /> the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifests or a copy of the exception report submitted to DTSC. <br /> Violation #301 - Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> -Two metal filters were observed on the ground next to a blue metal 55 gallon drum of oily solids on the south side <br /> of the shop. <br /> -The brake lathe machine collection basin was full of brake lathe shavings and brake lathe shavings were observed <br /> on the floor around the machine. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment Immediately clean up the <br /> metal filters and brake lathe shavings and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a <br /> statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
