010 <br /> M'BI-`E-E.- --E"Mos, <br /> mg <br /> Status better September 17, 1990 <br /> f~ ARCO Station No.750, Lodi, California AGS 38048-4 <br /> ffi <br /> detected total oil and grease at 58 ppm; in our opinion this sample delineates waste oil'in <br /> soil east of the former tank cavity. <br /> The borings were drilled beyond subjective evidence of the waste oil at the request of <br /> ARCO because hydrocarbon compounds were detected using the photoionization detector. <br /> A boring was not drilled north of the former cavity because power lines obstructed the drill <br /> rig. <br /> We stated in our work plan that if the soil investigation around the former waste-o.l tank <br /> cavity indicated hydrocarbons were not delineated, then preparation of a Problem <br /> Assessment Report (PAR) would be contingent upon ARCO's scheduling of the <br /> replacement of the underground gasoline tanks onsite. ARCO has informed us that they <br /> have scheduled tank replacement for the fall of 1990. <br /> We will conduct this drilling near the existing and proposed gasoline tank cavities in the <br /> locations shown on Plate P-2 using methods presented in our Work Plan dated April 23, <br /> 1990. We are submitting the drilling permit and a check for $89.00 with this letter. <br /> Approximately three months after the completion of the tank replacement we will submit <br /> ® a work plan to delineate appropriate hydrocarbons or a status letter indicating the date we <br /> expect to issue the PAR. We recommend that a signed copy of this letter be forwarded to <br /> Ms. Laurie Cotulla of the San Joaquin County Public ;=health Services, P.O. Box 2009, <br /> Stockton, California 9201.
