Backfill material will be stockpiled onsite and covered with <br /> plastic. <br /> o Collect soil samples from the base of the tank cavity far laboratory <br /> analyses according to SJCPHS guidelines. <br /> o Monitor ARCO's subcontractors installation of geotextile fabric in the <br /> i former tank cavity. ` <br /> _ yl <br /> o Collect four soil samples from approximately every 54-cubic yards of <br /> posited into one sample by <br /> backfill. Each set of four samples will be com <br /> the laboratory for analyses according to SJCPHS guidelines. <br /> o Monitor the excavation of the new tank cavity. Sail excavated from the <br /> new tank cavity will be placed in the old tank cavity lined with geotextile <br /> fabric. We will monitor installation of new tanks in the new tank cavity. <br /> a Soil excavated from the new tank cavity and placed into the old tank cavity <br /> on of the.new tanks, and disposed of. <br /> will be removed after installati <br /> o Submit selected samples.of the backfill removed'from the old tank cavity to <br /> a laboratory approved by ARCO for analysis e, total petroleum <br /> 3 hydrocarbons as gasoline and benzene, toluene, ethylbPnzene, and total <br /> xylene isomers. The composite sample from the stockpiled backfill <br /> material having the highest concentration of TPHg will also be analyzed <br /> using a Bio-Assay according to test method listed in California <br /> Administrative Code Title 22, Section 66696.
