(Condor), <br />1 <br />was on site to collect soil samples following the removal of <br />i <br />the tanks. The soil surrounding the excavations consisted <br />of brown, clayey, fine sand. The soil was stained blue, <br />greenish -gray beneath the south ends of tanks in the <br />excavation and slight g petroleum odors were noticed. No <br />groundwater was encountered in the excavation. The <br />I' <br />excavation was left open and barricaded with temporary chain <br />I <br />link fencing following sampling procedures. <br />All tanks appeared to be in goon condition and no holes <br />or leaks were visible. <br />2.1 Soil Samples <br />A total of 13 soil samples were"collected from the site <br />for laboratory analysis after the tanks were removed (See <br />Figure 2 for sample locations). one sample each was <br />I <br />collected from beneath the north andlisouth ends of each <br />CONDOR <br />i. <br />(j <br />1� <br />
