TRC MEETH40 -$- 29 January 1997
904 SOUTH CHEROKEE LANE,LODI
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
4. There is a discrepancy about MW-25;according to the files, two MW-25's were drilled in two
different locations and there is no log for MW-27. According to Mike Infurna,there is also evidence
of a well or boring which is not shown on any of the maps.
5. Committee members believed it was necessary to continue quarterly monitoring,however, it was not
necessary to monitor all wells at the site.
The majority of the TRC committee voted not to close this site and determined that the following must be
completed:
1. MTBE analysis must be conducted;
2. Analyses for diesel must be included in quarterly groundwater monitoring;
3. Information must be submitted regarding waste oil tank removal, or an investigation, including
solvent analyses, must be conducted;
4. Confusion regarding MW-25,MW-27, and the unknown boring/well must be cleared up; and
5. The number and location of the wells to be monitored quarterly must be proposed by Ultramar and
their consultants and approved by County staff.
Once additional quarterly monitoring has been completed, the information submitted, and site conditions
warrant, a request for no fiuther action may be requested.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Even though high concentrations of diesel were detected in the soil, no estimate of the initial or
remaining amounts of diesel in the subsurface were provided.
2. Based on the data from previous years, the vapor extraction system removal rates probably would
have increased in the summer and fall of 1996, and additional vapors would have been extracted.
