DDRW-D PAGE 3 September 14, 1992
Honorable Patrick Johnston
d. From April 27 - May 4, 1992, DDRW sampling was performed
under the contract .
e . On July 9, 1992, DDRW received the test results, as did the
State as n lac , No additional wells were found to be contaminated. /
f. They were refused by us each time. DDRW is regulated under
CERCLA and the County is not a party to our cleanup and has no
authority to direct us to do anything. They appear to be more
interested in who funds their involvement than in the substantive
issues of the potential contamination. Once again, we invited them
solely as a courtesy in hopes to keep them informed as to such
matters.
I agreed to hold a public meeting to discuss this matter with
interested members of the public but = before we have all the
information. That means our investigation and the State' s
information. Once we have this, we will hold a public meeting. The
State' s investigation is scheduled to be ongoing to November 1992 .
Sincerely, /
JAMES W.
