No. CA4971520834 <br /> I . Facility Description <br /> Defense Depot Tracy California (DDTC) is located in San <br /> Joaquin County near the City of Tracy (Figure 1) . DDTC <br /> is a supply storage facility for the Defense Logistics <br /> Agency, a part of the Department of Defense. DDTC <br /> receives, stores, issues, and transports materials that <br /> are common to all military services. Such materials <br /> include, but are not limited to, food (non-perishable <br /> items) , clothing, textiles, medical supplies, packaged <br /> petroleum products, construction supplies, industrial <br /> tools and equipment, and such general supplies as <br /> refrigeration equipment, lighting fixtures, kitchen <br /> equipment, and office supplies. DDTC does not <br /> handle any munitions or explosives. <br /> Commodities are purchased by the Defense Logistics Agency <br /> and shipped to DDTC for storage. They are later issued <br /> (shipped) to various military activities (Army, Navy, <br /> Marine Corps, and Air Force) and other specified Federal <br /> agencies located in the western continental United <br /> States. DDTC also ships these items to Army and Air <br /> Force activities located in Alaska, Hawaii, and the <br /> Pacific overseas area. Intradepartmental shipments of <br /> materials may also involve receipt, identification, and <br /> storage of unused materials or surplus equipment that <br /> will ultimately be disposed of as hazardous waste. There <br /> is no manufacturing at this facility and only a limited <br /> amount of material surface treatment such as painting, <br /> paint stripping, grit blasting, and other oxidation <br /> (rust) control operations. <br />
