The Depot will not be involved in the col-ration <br /> and/or maintenance of the interim ground water system during the duratia' of the <br /> contract. <br /> It is recommended that on-site Depot personnel be trained on the operation of <br /> the entire ground water system and that daily monitoring of the ss _ be <br /> conducted. Since the system relies heavily upon automatic controls , .hese <br /> controls should be tested during the start-up and prove-out of the .stem. <br /> Finally, if the system should fail and/or shutdown, notification should ade <br /> to on-site personnel as well as the contractor. On-site personnel can respond <br /> immediately to determine if the system has shutdown correctly. <br /> Also, it is recommended that the contractor develop an operation and maintenance <br /> manual for on-site Depot personnel that would contain the daily tasks recuired <br /> to monitor the ground water system, including checklists, and the steps to follow <br /> in the event of system failure or shutdown. <br /> 8) It is recommended that water level measurements in the monitoring wells be taken <br /> weekly, and that these measurements in conjunction with those taken 1 ,9 the <br /> extraction wells be utilized to operate the extraction system in most <br /> effective manner. <br /> 9) The Regional Board would like to review all reports/deliverables associated with <br /> this contract. <br /> 3 <br />
