3. Section 1.4, Introduction, Page 2: This section discusses the aquifer cleanup levels but <br /> omitted the value for trichloroethene (TCE). Please list the cleanup level for TCE in the <br /> next version of this report. <br /> 4. Section 7.3, Conclusions, Page 28: The problem with air-to-water flow rates above <br /> target design rates is identified, but the conclusion should be stronger, given past <br /> problems with scale formation in the air stripping towers. We concur with the concern <br /> about high air-to-water flow rates, and we recommend that the proposed extraction well <br /> shutdown be delayed until a solution to increasing air flow rates is identified from the <br /> ongoing pH evaluation study and implemented at the treatment plant. <br /> 2 <br />
