The letter requests changes to the submittal dates
for the Small Excavations (Solid Waste Management Units [SWMUs] 6, 20, 27),
Remedial Action Report (RAR) and the Northern Depot Area (also known as Defense
Site Environmental Reporting and Tracking System [DSERTS] 67) RAR.
The extension request's rationale is to ensure adequate response time to complete the
draft final Small Excavations Report, and to reflect the actual completion date of
remedial activities at DSERTS 67.
The proposed changes would move the Small Excavations submittal date from
July 9, 2002 to September 20, 2002. Additionally, it would extend the DSERTS 67 RAR
from July 26, 2002 date to September 13, 2002. DTSC concurs with the proposed
submittal dates and rationale.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please feel free to contact me at
(916) 255-3713.
Sincerely, Q
0 7& WK11/
Peter MacNicholl
Remedial Project Manager
Office of Military Facilities
The energy challenge facing California is real.
