Groundwater extraction systems are not operating at design capacity and
required repairs have not been scheduled. Capture of contaminant plumes has decreased
compared to the 2000 Annual Monitoring Report. We express concern in a general comment
that continued lack of progress may result in unfavorable findings during the five-year review in
2004. We also requested that response to comment tables be added to future reports.
Please feel free to contact me at 415-972-3024.
Sincerely,
Michael Work
Federal Facilities and Site Cleanup Branch
Superfund Division (SFD-8-3)
Attachment
cc: (See Distribution List)
