Discharge of well development water to stormwater drains or surface water features is not acceptable. 6. Well Survey The measurement point at the top of each well casing will be clearly marked,and the elevation of the measurement point and land surface determined using standard surveying methods.The vertical survey shall be reported to the nearest 0.01 foot referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88).The elevation of land surface at the well will be reported to the nearest 0.1 foot(NAVD 88).Horizontal coordinates for mapping well locations shall be surveyed and reported to the nearest foot. Coordinates shall be in State Plane Coordinate System Zone 3 using North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83).Surveying shall be conducted by a qualified surveyor licensed by the State of California. 7. Well Sampling If required,newly constructed wells KMW-10 and KMW-11 shall be incorporated into the Crossroads monitoring network,and sampled for water levels and water quality in accordance with Monitoring and Reporting Program No.5-01-251.The first sampling event shall be conducted no sooner than 24 hours after well development is completed. Groundwater elevations relative to mean sea level (msl) (NAVD 88) shall be determined quarterly by subtracting the measured depth to water from the elevation of the measurement point at the well.All water level depths shall be measured using a water level sounder accurate to 0.01 foot. The monitoring wells shall also be sampled quarterly with other Crossroads monitoring wells.The wells will be purged and sampled using a submersible pump and vinyl discharge tubing.9 The pump,tubing,and power cord shall be decontaminated prior to each use. Field parameters (pH,electrical conductivity,and temperature) shall be monitored using a multimeter and flow cell (for example,a YSI Model 556 multimeter).The multimeter shall be calibrated at least twice a day and more frequently as needed depending on sample pH and electrical conductivity.Samples shall be collected after a minimum of three casing volumes are purged and when field parameters do not vary more than 10%between subsequent casing volumes (± 10mV for ORP). Purged water shall be disposed of at the well sites. 8. Schedule for Completion of Work and Reporting Submission of this Monitoring Well Abandonment and Installation Workplan is required prior to the scheduled construction or abandonment of any groundwater monitoring well. q FGL Environmental sampling protocol,written communication,July 31,2009.
