' Monitoring well design: In one well (MBRMW-1) the well screen slot size was
increased from 0.01-inch to 0.02-inch in attempt to improve well yield for
' development and future sampling. Another well (MWM-9) was drilled to a
depth of about 30 feet rather than the planned 22 feet depth. The deeper
drilling depth was undertaken in an attempt to intercept additional coarse-
grained sediment to improve potential well yield.
Schedule: The approved workplan schedule indicated a submittal date for this
' Well Installation Report of May 27, 2005.
Although not resulting in a deviation from the workplan, during the well
t construction period two wells were installed as MWM-3. The first well was
installed on 5/14/2005. Due to construction activities, the well was located near
the northeast corner of Pond C, which was slightly north of its planned location.
' On July 1, 2005, the well (referred to as MWM-3) was destroyed and replaced by
a new well (referred to as MWM-3r) constructed at its approved location adjacent
to Pond C. In this Monitoring Well Installation Report (specifically, in Tables 1, 3,
' 4, 5 and 6, and Figure 2), and all future groundwater related reports the
replacement well MWM-3r is and shall be referred to as MWM-3. Copies of the
well log and destruction permit for the original MWM-3 are provided in Appendix
' F.
1
1
1
