1 <br /> ' On February 14, 2007 HydroFocus, Inc. submitted the "Master Well Installation <br /> and/or Destruction Workplan" on behalf of the City of Lathrop to the RWQCB. <br /> ' RWQCB staff responded with their April 10, 2007 letter "Incomplete Report, <br /> Master Groundwater Well Installation and/or Destruction Workplan, WDRs Order <br /> No. R5-2006-0094, City of Lathrop, San Joaquin County'. Their April 10th letter <br /> ' included a list of suggested changes and/or revisions to the workplan and its <br /> appendices. For reference, a listing of replies to the numbered changes and/or <br /> revisions as presented in RWQCB staff's April 10th letter are provided below (a <br /> copy of the letter is provided at the end of this appendix). <br /> ' 1. Report organization has been changed from the outline format of Attachment <br /> F of the WDRs (Requirements for Monitoring Well Installation Workplans and <br /> Monitoring Well Installation Reports) to a numbered outline format as <br /> trequested. <br /> 2. As requested, all references to specific products, materials, consultants, <br /> surveying companies, and drilling methods have been removed. <br /> 3. Drilling Details. <br /> ' (a) Supervision of Drilling and Well Installation: The need to submit <br /> Groundwater Well Project Description Addenda has been incorporated. <br /> ' (b) Drilling Equipment and Techniques: Discussion of other potential drilling <br /> techniques has been added. <br /> (c) Drilling Equipment and Techniques: We have removed specified boring <br /> depths as requested. <br /> ' (d) Decontamination Procedures: We have added minimum decontamination <br /> procedures for non-hazardous and hazardous conditions, as requested. <br /> (e) Soil Sampling and Borehole Logging: We removed reference to using a <br /> continuous core sampling device as a requirement at every well site, as <br /> requested. <br /> ' 4. Monitoring Well Design. <br /> (a) References to drilling depths and screened intervals have been removed. <br /> ' (b) We have removed the recommendation to deepen wells by lengthening <br /> the well screen. <br /> t (c) We have removed reference to No. 3 sand and added a sentence <br /> describing the need to surge the sand pack prior to transition seal placement. <br /> (d) We have added the need to hydrate bentonite pellets. <br /> ' (e) Figure 4 (now Figure 2a), has been revised to show concrete in the above <br /> ground wellhead description; Figure 2b has been added to show flush <br /> mounted wellhead construction. <br /> 5. Well Development. All references to "disposal field" have been replaced by <br /> "land application area". Disposal options have been modified to include <br /> A-2 <br />
