Additionally, a previously assumed destroyed well (MWR-13) was found and <br /> repaired. The letter report documenting the procedures employed to repair <br /> MWR-13, -15 and -20 are provided in Appendix B. The letter report documenting <br /> MWR-18's destruction is also provided in Appendix B. These four wells have not <br /> ' been included in the Discharger's past quarterly monitoring activities because of <br /> well design limitations (1 to 1.5-inch casing diameter) and unknown well <br /> construction (construction records have not been found). These wells shall <br /> therefore continue to be omitted from the monitoring network, and accordingly <br /> are not included in Table 1. <br /> ' Quarterly groundwater data is also collected by other entities from monitoring <br /> wells located in potential future land application and recycled water storage <br /> areas. These areas have not been authorized to receive recycled water, and <br /> these data shall be considered as part of future RWERs. Because no new land <br /> application areas are included as part of this Master Well Workplan, the <br /> identifying information and monitoring data from this second group of wells is not <br /> ' presented. For the same reason, no new monitoring well locations are proposed <br /> as part of this Master Well Workplan; supplemental monitoring well locations <br /> shall be proposed in future Groundwater Well Project Description Addendums <br /> submitted as part of proposed expansions or changes to the existing <br /> groundwater monitoring network. <br /> ' B. Drilling Details <br /> Supervision of Drilling and Well Installation <br /> ' Per San Joaquin County Well Standards, monitoring wells will be constructed by <br /> a C-57 licensed contractor under the direction of a California Registered <br /> Professional Engineer, California Professional Geologist, or a California Certified <br /> Engineering Geologist. Prior to construction, permits will be obtained from the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) and <br /> Underground Services Alert will visibly mark all subsurface utilities, pipelines, <br /> tanks, septic systems or other structures. Inspections will be made as required <br /> by the County during all phases of construction and development. Well <br /> ' inspections shall be scheduled with the County and all sealing operations <br /> performed in the presence of a County inspector, unless directed otherwise by <br /> the County. <br /> ' Drilling Equipment and Techniques <br /> The well driller shall employ a hollow-stem auger to drill 10-inch diameter <br /> ' boreholes to a maximum depth of about 1 foot below the bottom of the designed <br /> well screen depth (total depth of about 24 feet below land surface). In some <br /> areas, groundwater may be first encountered at slightly greater depths and it may <br /> be appropriate to construct slightly deeper monitoring wells. For example, the <br /> typical Mossdale area well is about 21 feet deep, whereas monitoring wells <br /> - 5 - <br /> 1 <br />
