25 March 2005
AGE-NC Project No 97-0311
following constituents:
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and fuel additives in accordance with EPA Method
8260 Modified.
3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevations were determined by subtracting the measured depths to water from the
surveyed casing elevations.Ground water flow directions were determined by contouring the water
elevations on a scaled site plan. Laboratory analysis of water samples were utilized to assess any
solvent-impact to ground water.
3.1. GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
The elevation of ground water in each monitoring well at the time of the monitoring event was
calculated by subtracting the depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation; current
ground water elevation results are provided in Table 1.
The measured depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 ranged between
47.50 and 47.83 feet below the top of the casing(btoc). The ground water elevations were calculated
to be between 1.3 feet (MW-3) and 1.59 feet (MW-1) above mean sea level (MSL). The ground
water elevation increased 1.2 feet since the November 2004 sampling event.
At the time of the March 2005 monitoring event, the potentiometric surface was inferred to be
flowing south to southwest in the area bounded by the monitoring wells (Figure 3) at a gradient of
approximately 0.0024 ft/ft.
3.2. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Four ground water samples were analyzed by CTEL for the chemical constituents referenced in
Section 2.L.No VOCs,solvents, fuel additives or components were detected at or above laboratory
reporting limits.
The analytical results of ground water samples are summarized in the laboratory report CTEL Proj ect
No. CT214-050376, with quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reports and chain of
custody forms included in Appendix C.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
