d <br /> i <br /> ti <br /> Mr. James Barton, PG <br /> 24 April 2014 <br /> Page 8 <br /> • During purging, general water quality parameters (pH,.specific conductance, turbidity, <br /> and temperature)will be periodically,measured and.recorded; <br /> • Purging will continue until water quality parameters stabilize; <br /> • Groundwater samples will be collected'using the low-flow pump and transferred into <br /> sample containers prepared by the analytical laboratory; and, <br /> • Sample containers will -be sealed, labeled, and then placed in a cooler .with ice for <br /> transport to the laboratory. . <br /> A blind duplicate sample will be collected from.one well. One equipment blank will be collected <br /> during each day of groundwater sampling., Trip blanks consisting of organic-free, deionized <br /> water will be prepared by the laboratory and will accompany the. sample containers during <br /> transport to, during, and after sampling. The trip blank sample bottles will not be opened. <br /> Groundwater and QA/QC samples will be handled.under standard chain :of custody procedures <br /> and will be analyzed for VOCs including toluene by EPA Method 8260 and for TPHd by EPA <br /> Method 8015. <br /> Purged water will be contained in drums, labeled,-and remain at the facility, pending appropriate <br /> disposal. <br /> Disposition of Waste Materials <br /> There will be some decontamination water-generated during field work in addition to the purge <br /> water and soil cuttings: Before leaving the,Site, Geosyntec will collect a composite sample of <br /> the purge water and decontaminationwaterand a composite sample of the soil cuttings for waste <br /> classification. Following classification, the waste willbe disposed of at an appropriate. off-site <br /> facility. <br /> PROPOSED SCHEDULE <br /> We anticipate that that CPT/grab groundwater investigation and installation, development, <br /> surveying, and sampling of monitoring wells can be completed within 30 days of RWQCB <br /> approval.
