Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan
WEST CLAY PROPERTIES
639 West Clay Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Ms. Tina Mayhew of West Clay Properties, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
(AGE)has prepared this work plan for the installation of two additional,deep screened monitoring
wells at 639 West Clay Street, Stockton, CA (site). A location map is presented on Figure 1.
Monitoring wells, CPT soil boring locations and structures are illustrated in Figure 2. Background
information is summarized in Appendix A.
The scope of work described in this work plan addendum was proposed to further delineate the
vertical and horizontal extent of ground water contamination at the former cluster underground
storage tank (UST) location at the northern-central portion of the site and the former UST No.3
location further to the south. The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
directed the assessment of dissolved MTBE east of the former northern UST area and the assessment
of all dissolved petroleum east of the former UST No.3 area. The EHD letters dated 19 May 2009
and 15 September 2009 are included in Appendix B. The EHD has directed the limits of the
dissolved plumes be defined to manage the risk presented and as a requirement for site closure.
1 As directed by EHD letter 15 September 2009, an additional ground water remediation feasibility-
engineering cost comparison analysis (SCCA)
p, 4 , including monitored natural attenuation (MNA),
(U1top
in-situ oxidation(air-sparging and ozone infection)and groundwater extraction should be evaluated P rl
with analysis of cost per remediation, once the limits of the dissolved plume areas are determined.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
This work plan has been prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST)sites. The scope of work
includes the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Soil boring advancement and soil sample collection and analysis;
• Deep monitoring well installation, development and sampling and analysis;
• Report preparation.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
