EHD has
not received this work plan to date.
In a telephone conversation on October 7,2003,your consultant Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
(AGE) requested an extension to the deadline. The new deadline to submit the work plan to EHD is
October 30,2003.
EHD recommended in the above-mentioned letter that an additional extended pumping test be
conducted in the area of the former southern UST area#3 to evaluate if sufficient dissolved
hydrocarbon mass exists to justify a pump and treat system, and estimate the hydrocarbon mass that may
be recovered. You were directed to submit a work plan for a groundwater extraction system if your
consultant believes that pump and treat is justified by September 30,2003. This extended pumping test
has not been implemented to date.
Implement an extended pumping test by November 7,2003. Submit the results of the pump test and if
applicable a work plan for a groundwater extraction system to EHD by November 30, 2003.
Remediation should begin as soon as possible and bring this site toward final closure status. Please make
all efforts to meet these new deadlines. Failure to comply with EHD directives may jeopardize your
reimbursement status with the State Clean Up Fund.
