San Joaquin Street
P O BOX 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Fred Clarke Site
729 S. Commerce Street
Stockton, CA
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
At the request of Mr. Clarke and information requested in your
letter dated August 24, 1994, John P. Cummings and Associates (JPCA)
prepared the attached workplan, which is based on a review of the
site conditions and available data for the site, to further
characterize this site.
The site is located at 625 S. Commerce, Stockton, CA. The parcel
is basically flat. It is our understanding that a 550 gallon
diesel underground storage tank (UST) and a 3000 gallon gasoline
UST were removed from the parcel in April 1992. UST removal was
accomplished by Oil Equipment Service of San Andreas, Ca. , with
proper permits. Soil samples from the excavation were analyzed .
The results reported from the soil samples analysis indicated low
levels of hydrocarbon contamination. The lead concentration levels
in the analyzed soil samples appear to be background.
The over excavated soil from the UST removal was sampled and the
analysis indicated the soil to be non-hazardous. The soil has been
removed from the site. The parcel now has an automobile towing
service, "Charter Tow", on it.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (510) 505-0722.
Sincerely,
n P. Cummings, REA, REP, PhD O
Principal
SEP 0 6 194
cc: Fred Clarke
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
