The Report provided the results of research, and soil and groundwater
investigations conducted from 2 November 2011 to 1 May 2012. The Workplan
proposed installation of two additional groundwater monitoring wells (MW-6 and MW-7)
and three offsite soil borings (SB-1 through SB-3) to delineate the downgradient extent
of the groundwater plume.
The Report states that a Phase 1 Environmental Data Resource (EDR) report,
generated 2 November 2011 as part of the due diligence search of records, did not
identify additional nearby reported petroleum hydrocarbons or chemical releases. The
EDR and a California Department of Water Resources well log search, conducted on
28 December 2011, identified thirty two (32) sensitive receptors within a 2,000' radius of
the Site. Fifteen (15) domestic wells were located within a 500' radius of the site.
Seven (7) domestic wells and the one (1) domestic well located at the Site were
selected for sampling based on the groundwater flow direction noted below.
From 9 January 2012 to 17 January 2012, five groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1
through MW-5) were installed and screened from 80' below ground surface (bgs).
MW-1 through MW-5 were sampled on 25 January 2012 and 1 May 2012. Depth to
water varied from 87' bgs to 88' bgs (January 2012) and from 88' bgs to 89' bgs
(May 2012). Groundwater flow direction was towards the northeast at a gradient of
0.002 ft/ft (January) to 0.003 ft/ft (May). Groundwater monitoring results are given in
micrograms per Liter (ug/L) in Table 1 below:
KQ E. lc"x SeD, P.E.,c.
