Under this option,
you may grant your consultant access to your site electronically while you are logged into the
Geotracker database. Granting your consultant, or another party, access to your site allows
them to upload files for you.
Option 2
If you do not have internet access or do not wish to upload required files and perform the
electronic role of the RP, you may delegate these primary electronic reporting responsibilities
to an authorized RP agent. If you chose to delegate electronic reporting responsibilities, your
consultant must request access to the site in Geotracker, and then, you must fax or mail a
signed RP Agent Authorization Form to the State Water Board, which will authorize the
contractor to act on your behalf, as an Authorized RP Agent. You may revoke this authority by
signing and faxing or mailing an Authorized RP Agent Revocation Form. These forms may be
down-loaded from the State Water Board's website on this page:
http://www.waterboards,ca.gov/ust/electronic submittal/index.shtml
The forms are found under the heading Getting Started, and subheading login or request a
password. It is standard practice for your consultant to provide the RP Agent Authorization
Form to you, for your signature, after they have requested access to the site in Geotracker.
Under this option, your consultant will perform all required duties, pending approval by the
State Water Board.
Geotracker is the State Water Board's internet-accessible database used by the State Water
Board, Regional Water Boards, and local agencies to track data from an unauthorized
chemical release or discharge of waste. Regulations (Chapter 30, Division 3, Titles 23 & 27 of
the California Code of Regulations) require individuals submitting compliance reports for
Underground Storage Tank, Site Cleanup, Department of Defense, and Landfill Programs to
submit data and reports over the internet to Geotracker. As of September 2001, soil and
water chemistry analytical data, well gauging data, and well survey data must be electronically
submitted. Additionally, as of January 1, 2005, you must also submit electronic copies of: all
vapor analytical data, all boring logs, and all compliance reports to the Geotracker website.
