n KLEINFELDER <br /> 2 SITE SETTING <br /> 2.1 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located in Township 2 North, Range 6 East, Extrapolated Section 25, <br /> Subsections B and G, Mount Diablo Baseline and Meridian according to the 1968 <br /> (Photorevised 1987) U.S. Geological Survey "Stockton West, California" 7.5-Minute <br /> Topographic Quadrangle Map. The property is located at an elevation of approximately <br /> 27 feet above mean sea level (msl). <br /> 2.2 CURRENT SITE USE AND VICINITY CHARACTERISTICS <br /> The site is located in an area of relatively level terrain. Land use on site includes a '/4 <br /> mile paved racetrack, bleachers, storage sheds, concession stands, <br /> restrooms, mobile <br /> home and dirt parking areas. Improvements include two domestic wells, power lines, <br /> access roads, approximately five dry wells, pad and pole-mounted transformers, utility <br /> vaults, and subsurface drains . <br /> Surrounding areas include automotive Cer shops ps (B side�t aB toythed north and D e <br /> custom supplies at 4238 N. Wilson Way) <br /> Department of Fish and Game at 4001 Wilson Way, agricultural land and <br /> communication tower to the south S o the east is Wholesale Cars to You (4099 N. <br /> Wilson Way), North American Au rvice and Mikes Paint and Body formerly Valley <br /> Auto Repair (4055 N. Wilson Way), Dentoni's Permatech Truck Accessories, and A.C. <br /> iTransmission (4035 N. Wilson Way) beyond which is N. Wilson Way. Orchards and <br /> agricultural land is located to the west. <br /> 2.3 REGIONAL-GEOLOGY <br /> The site lies near the western boundary of the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of <br /> California. The valley is approximately 400 miles long and averages about 50 miles <br /> wide, and comprises about 20,000 square miles. The valley has been filled with a thick <br /> sequence of marine and non-marine sediments from the late Jurassic to Holocene. <br /> The uppermost strata of the Great Vs II Sa eamento a�dthe <br /> San Joaqu n Rv ers)vand flood, <br /> their <br /> and delta plains of two major r <br /> tributaries. <br /> The valley deposits are derived from the Coast Ranges to the west and the Sierra <br /> Nevada to the east. Granitic and metamorphic rocks outcrop along the eastern and <br /> southeastern flanks of the valley.
