n KLEINFELDER
With the exception of heavy metals, the analytical results in the Debris Area were
also unremarkable. However, heavy metal concentrations, particularly lead were
found at elevated concentrations ranging from 273 to 1610 ,mg/kg (parts p
er
million). Based on these values some of eed aobbe dis osed of atris may-'be lfiaeClass I
as a
hazardous waste for disposal purposes or n p
disposal facility (Hazardous Waste Facility). Since evidence of building materials
was found associated with the debris piles, the potential exists for said building
materials to contain asbestos. Assuming development of this area, Kleinfelder
recommends evaluating the extent of debris, further characterization of the
debris to ascertain if the material is hazardous, designated waste or non-
hazardous for disposal purposes, and removal to an approved disposal facility.
At this time the Debris Area is not suitable for the proposed residential
development
• Significant cut and fill areas have been noted at the site. Although Kleinfelder
has evaluated a large fill area west of the stands, other areas have not been
evaluated for debris. Therefore, additional debris could be encountered in future
grading and development of the site. In the event debris, unusual odors or soil
discoloration is noted in these areas, the signatories of this report should be
contacted.
• Kleinfelder recommends that a copy of this report be submitted to San Joaquin
County Public Health Services Department Environmental Health Division
(PHS/EHD) for their review and comment prior to future development activities.
For additional discussion of Kleinfelder's findings please refer to the "Discussion of
Analytical Results, Conclusions and Recommendations" in Section 6.
This report, and the conclusions and recommendations presented in this Executive
t Summary, are subject to the "Limitations" presented in Chapter 7 of this report. Any
other party (other than the Lagacy Development or regulatory agencies having
enforcement jurisdiction for this site) who would like to use this report shall notify
jKleinfelder, Inc. in writing for such intended use.
58671.E02/ST05R1127/DH:ly Page 2 of 22
©2005 Kleinfelder, Inc.
