Stockton 99 Speedway <br /> Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Workplan April 12,2047 <br /> 4.5.4 Photographs <br /> Photographs will be taken at sample locations and at.other areas of interest onsite as a supplement to <br /> information entered in the field logbook. When a photograph is taken, the following information will be <br /> written in the logbook or will be recorded in a separate field photography log: <br /> Time, date, location, and, if appropriate, weather conditions; <br /> • Description of the subjectphotographed; and <br /> P J <br /> • Name of person taking the photograph. <br /> 4.6.5 Labeling, Packaging,and Shipment <br /> Samples collected will be labeled in a clear and precise way for proper identification in the field and for <br /> tracking in the laboratory. The samples for laboratory analyses will have preassigned, identifiable, and <br /> unique numbers. At a minimum, the sample labels will contain the following information: project name, <br /> date of collection, analytical parameter(s), and method of preservation. <br /> The packaging procedures that will be followed for the samples are:. <br /> • Line the bottom of the cooler with bubble wrap to reduce the potential for breakage during <br /> shipment; <br /> • Check screw caps for tightness; <br /> • Check that sample labels are correctly completed; and <br /> + Wrap glass sample containers in bubble wrap to reduce the potential for breakage. <br /> Samples will be placed in coolers with the appropriate chain-of-custody forms. forms will be enclosed in <br /> a large plastic bag and affixed to the underside of the cooler lid. Empty space in the cooler will be filled <br /> with bubble wrap or Styrofoam peanuts to reduce the potential for movement and breakage during <br /> shipment. Each ice chest will be securely taped shut with nylon strapping tape. <br /> 4.6 Sample Analysis <br /> California-oertified laboratories will be used to analyze samples from the Site. Advanced Technologies <br /> Laboratory (ATL) located in Signal Hill, California will conduct the analyses of soil, trip blanks, and <br /> rinseate blanks. <br /> PEA Mykplan.Final.doc 4-6 The Source Group,Inc. <br />
