SITE'',€CODE: 1995123
1403 Country Club Blvd.
Stockton, CA 95204
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
has reviewed the "Quarterly Monitoring Report" for the fourth quarter, 1992 for the
above referenced site and has the following comments.
Quarterly reports are to be submitted to PHS/EHD by the 15th of the month following
the end of each quarter. All reports for 1992 have been late. Please adjust your
sampling schedule to allow adequate review time by BP Oil Company so;that reports are
submitted to PHS/EHD on time.
Witnessing of groundwater sampling events by PHS/EHD personnel is an important
aspect of regulatory oversight. For all future sampling events please call.Michael Infurna
at (209),468-3454 and schedule an appointment so that he may witness all sampling and
site activities.
Monitoring wells 1, 3, and 4 were installed to gather groundwater samples. These wells
are now dry and have been since August 5, 1991. PHS/EHD tentatively allowed these
wells to be utilized as vapor extraction wells but no effort has been made to connect
them to the existing vapor extraction system. Monitoring wells 1, 3, and!!4 are not serving
their intended purpose and are not being utilized for other acceptable purposes and now
must be:destroyed or utilized as vapor extraction wells. A workplan to destroy or utilize
these wells shall be submitted to PHS/EHD by April 15, 1993.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
i
7
