� u <br /> , y <br /> All IT personnel are responsible for continuous adherence to the safety pro- <br /> cedures during the performance of the work. In no case may work be performed <br /> in a manner that conflicts with the intent of, or the inherent safety and <br /> environmental cautions expressed in these procedures. After due warnings, i <br /> - personnel who violate safety procedures will be dismissed from the site and <br /> may be terminated. All field personnel shall be properly trained in health <br /> - and safety procedures associated with handling hazardous materials and the <br /> -- safe operation of equipment. All on-site personnel will be trained as neces- <br /> sary according to the specifications set forth by 29 CFR 1914.120 and this <br /> document. <br /> 4.2.1 Project Manage <br /> The Project Manager, will be accountable for ensuring field implementation of <br /> the H&S Plan. As required by IT Policy and Procedures 9021.1, the Project <br /> { Manager will be responsible for informing the project's H&S Coordinator of any <br /> changes in work plans so that issues of health and safety and project i <br /> �- management may be appropriately addressed. <br /> 4.2.2 Health and Safety Coordinator <br /> ` The project H&S Coordinator will be responsible for development and coordina- <br /> tion of the general site health and safety plan and of addenda specific to <br /> each site. This plan will comply with 29 CFR 1910.120 and will include medi- <br /> cal surveillance, training requirements, hazard assessment, personal protec- <br /> tive equipment, and field implementation. The H&S Coordinator will update and <br /> �. change the plans, if warranted by changed conditions, and shall have the only <br /> ; ? authorization to effect such changes. The H&S Coordinator will report to the - <br /> Project Manager for H&S operational matters. Agency liaison on matters relat- <br /> ing to safety and health will be handled by the H&S Coordinator. Mr. Colin <br /> Brownlow, a Certified Industrial Hygienist, is the H&S Coordinator for this <br /> project. His responsibilities include: <br /> Determining the level of personal protection required <br /> �. Updating equipment or procedures based on new information obtained <br /> f during site operations <br /> Performing H&S program quality control audits as required <br /> a D-4 - <br /> M:ENG:9204-AppD/031191 . <br />
