Noise monitoring is discussed in Section 1.5.1. . <br /> 4.7 DELINEATED WORK ZONES <br /> ,- 4.7.1 Delineated Zones <br /> The work area will include three separate zones: an exclusiu6 work zone, a <br /> contamination reduction zone, and a clean or support,. zone. <br /> The exclusion zone or work zone will include areas of suspected contamina- <br /> tion. All employees will use proper personnel 5 .-- P P P protective equipment when <br /> working in contaminated areas. The location of the exclusion zone will be <br /> --' demarked by barricades and yellow warning tape or other equivalent mans. <br /> Uecontamination will be performed in the contamination reduction zone which <br /> Shall be contiguous to the exclusion zone. The decontamination zone will be <br /> - ` established at the perimeter of the regulated area. Personnel entering or <br /> leaving the exclusion zone will pass through this area in order to prevent anycross contamination and for the purpose of accountability. Tools and any <br /> equipment or machinery will be decontaminated in a specified location. Per- <br /> sonnel decontamination includes removal of protective outer garments and <br /> respiratory protection will be performed in the contamination zone. <br /> Thesubpart zone will consist of all areas of the work area beyond the con- <br /> tamination reduction and exclusion zones.
